Will fans find him Worthy?
Marvel announced via io9 The Unworthy Thor by Jason Aaron and Olivier Coipel will debut this Fall as part of the Marvel Now! initiative.
Aaron wrote the Thunder God’s exploits until he was deemed Unworthy and unable to lift the mystical hammer in the Original Sin event (also by Aaron.)
The new Mighty Thor turned out to be Jane Foster.
The Odinson is being held by a mysterious enemy.
In the upcoming series The Collector is holding the fallen hero captive. Aaron and Coipel will reveal how the secrets of the Odinson’s imprisonment and escape. Odinson will not take Foster’s place but he will wield his own hammer with connections to the Marvel Universe before Secret Wars.
Fans may remember Coipel’s run on Thor back when Asgard was floating over Oklahoma after Ragnarok/Avengers Disassembled era.
What will happen this mean for Jane and the Nine Realms?
The Unworthy Thor arrives this Fall.
