The iconic books the launched the Dark Knight and Man of Steel go in bold new directions while three iconic heroes get new beginnings as DC Comics Rebirth continues.

It’s a week so big we had to have a two sets of new comics picks of the week featuring an all DC edition of picks starting with Rise of the Batmen.

Detective Comics #934

The Dark Knight and Batwoman together. Bruce Wayne and Kate Kane lead the next generation of heroes (Cassandra Cain, Stephanie Brown, Tim Drake and Clayface?) as a mystery predator is outdoing Batman.

It’s “Batman boot camp” for Orphan, Spoiler, Red Robin and a redeemed villain. The classic book that launched the Dark Knight returns to its original numbering with new creative team James Tynion IV and Eddy Barrows.

Wonder Woman: Rebirth #1

Diana lost her Man of Steel but one of the most acclaimed Wonder Woman writers returns to define her origins and her role as Earth’s champion. Greg Rucka restarts Diana’s legacy and future in this one-shot. Artists Liam Sharp and Nicola Scott will join Rucka for this epic rebirth for the Amazon warrior.

 The Flash: Rebirth #1

What happens next for Barry Allen after the universe shattering events of DC Universe: Rebirth and the return of Wally West? Joshua Williamson and Carmine di Giandeomenico show why Lightning Strikes Twice when an outbreak of new speedsters are born.

Aquaman: Rebirth #1
