The mutant cyborg from the future in a new solo series in 2017.
Marvel announced a new book starring Cable (via twitter) as part of the ResurrXion banner.
Cable #1 is the fifth new book teased this week (Iceman, Jean Grey, Weapon X, Generation X) following the ResurrXion tease which appears to be what happens following Inhumans vs. X-Men.
Cable aka Nathan Summers is the son of Scott Summers and Madelyn Pryor. As a baby, Nathan was infected with a virus from the future, taken to the future for a cure and raised to be a leader of the revolution against Apocalypse who has conquered the planet. Cable’s half-sister, an older Rachel Summers too him to the future to raise him before recruiting Scott and Jean Grey to help raise him.
An older battle worn Nathan went back into the past as the man named Cable who turned the New Mutants into the first X-Force. Cable was the adoptive father figure to the young mutant messiah Hope Summers. Cable is currently appearing in Uncanny Avengers.
No word on the creative team or possible supporting cast members.
