He’s been Gotham City’s most determined detective.

Now Jim Gordon is joining the Justice League?

In Batman #41 Commissioner Gordon became the all-new Dark Knight in a partnership with Gotham City Police and the Powers Corporation.

Fans have wondered if the new man under the Bat-mantle would join DC’s biggest super team.

Now we know Gordon is moving up to the biggest league in Detective Comics #46  by Peter J. Tomasi and Marcio Takara as revealed in the DC Comics November previews.

“For the first time since taking on the mantle of Batman, Jim Gordon has left Gotham City. But he’s not alone! Recruited by the Justice League, Gordon taps into his detective skills to help Superman, Wonder Woman, and the World’s Greatest Heroes solve the murder of a mysterious, super-powered being.”

In the current Darkseid War arc of Justice League, Bruce Wayne is still Batman but under the corrupted influence as is elevated to the status of a New God.

Will this issue be the beginning of Gordon replacing Wayne in the Darkseid War aftermath?

Detective Comics #46 arrives November 4th.
