MR. OZ WILL BE REVEALED!
Who is the mystery villain watching, taunting and plotting against the Man of Steel and his family?
In the DC September previews, the publisher revealed a month of payoffs including the identity of this enemy. Before we make our guess and lay out the evidence here’s the official description of ACTION COMICS #987, 988 THE OZ EFFECT by writer Dan Jurgens with artists Victor Bogdanovich and Patrick Zircher.
Part One – The agents of the mysterious Mr. Oz begin to move as the Man of Steel works to stop the chaos they unleash across the globe. But when Mr. Oz steps from the shadows his identity rocks the Last Son of Krypton to his core.
Part Two – As Superman struggles with the ramifications of Mr. Oz’s identity, the mysterious figure’s origins and the long road to Superman’s doorstep finally reveal themselves.
The obvious:
Ozymandias, the genius superhero turned business mogul in the WATCHMEN epic, turned out to be the mastermind of a murder and world-changing plot. A major revelation about Dr. Manhattan, the GOD-like superman of WATCHMEN was revealed in the Batman/Flash crossover THE BUTTON. The mystery of Dr. Manhattan’s manipulations will continue in DOOMSDAY CLOCK.
THE OZ EFFECT begins September 13th and 27th.
