Filming of Captain America: Civil War is underway. Chris Evans as Steve Rogers leads an all-star cast in the follow-up to Age of Ultron.
We knew Robert Downey Jr. return would return as Tony Stark. Now we know the super sequel could be hailed as an Avengers 2.5.
The film will include Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Falcon, Paul Bettany as The Vision, Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye, Don Cheadle as Jim Rhodes/War Machine, Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man, Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa/Black Panther and Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter/Agent 13. This film could be the first time we see the new Spider-Man born from the Marvel/Sony partnership.
Based on the comics storyline, when the government passes the Superhero Registration Act – it fractures the Avengers and a Civil War among the costumed heroes doesn’t stay civil.
While the cast is packed with fan-favorites and new characters here are more characters we hope to see in the next feature:
Daredevil, Luke Cage, Claire Temple – Civil War is an great opportunity to showcase the heroes of Marvel’s Netflix series. When Cap goes underground he finds allies and refuge in the street level heroes. Temple aka Night Nurse provides comfort and care for the rogue heroes after their battles with Stark’s superior forces and SHIELD’s Cape Killer units.
