Writer Cullen Bunn, Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso and Senior Editor Mark Paniccia revealed new information via a new liveblog on the heroes and monsters and the epic battle erupting in January.
Bunn said “the cause of the monster attacks, which are relentless, is something the heroes will have to figure out very very quickly. They can’t just fight their way out of this, they need to find the source and cut it off to save the world.”
Monster Hunter Elsa Bloodstone, Riri Williams/Ironheart, Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur and “Captain America plays a big role” in the battle plus the mystery boy seen on the issue three cover.
An all-star art team joins Bunn for the event including Art Adams, Steve McNiven, Greg Land and Salvador Larroca.
Some of the monsters revealed today are called Slizzik, Monstrum, Scragg, Fireclaw.
Monsters Unleashed #1 arrives January 18 then the series goes bi-weekly through March with eight tie-in issues.
