Michael Fassbender (Prometheus, X-Men: First Class) has two huge movies coming out. Fassbender reteams with director Ridley Scott on The Counselor and director Steve McQueen for 12 Years a Slave.
The project fanboys and girls are most excited about after X-Men: Days of Future Fast is the movie based on the video game Assassin’s Creed. The in-demand actor gave an update on the project he’s and here’s an update on the adaptation he’s starring in and producing.
“That’s definitely happening. We’re just developing the script at the moment. I’d heard of it but had never played the game. I don’t have a video game player … that’s not what they’re called. [Laughs] I met up with the guys from Ubisoft and they told me the story behind it, and I thought it was very interesting—the idea of reliving memories.” Fassbender tells The Daily Beast.
In the upcoming film based on the hit Ubisoft video game the actor will play Desmond Miles, a man descended from a long line of assassins. The story takes place in modern and ancient times as Miles faces the Knights Templar.
The Counselor and 12 Years A Slave are out this month. X-Men: Days of Future Past hits May, 2014.
