Star Wars returns to Marvel Comics in 2015.
Writer Jason Aaron (Wolverine and the X-Men) and John Cassaday (Astonishing X-Men) will continue the adventures of Luke, Han, Leia, Chewbacca and the Rebel Alliance in a brand new Star Wars #1 this January.
The Force is with fans as Marvel recruits an all-star roster of artists to create variant covers for the first issue including Alex Ross, Marvel Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada and of course Skottie Young in his signature style.
Here’s the official description for the premiere:
“Luke Skywalker and the ragtag band of rebels fighting against the Galactic Empire are fresh off their biggest victory yet—the destruction of the massive battle station known as the Death Star. But the Empire’s not toppled yet! Join Luke along with Princess Leia, smugglers Han Solo and Chewbacca, droids C-3PO and R2-D2 and the rest of the Rebel Alliance as they strike out for freedom against the evil forces of Darth Vader and his master, The Emperor.”
Star Wars #1 blast into comic book shops in January followed by new series starring Princess Leia by Mark Waid and Terry Dodson and Darth Vader by Kieron Gillen and Salvador Larroca.
