Secret Wars Live was the revelation that the Marvel and Ultimate Universes will end.

Marvel revealed Last Days the banner for stories of how Marvel heroes will spend their final moments knowing the end is coming.

Then Marvel revealed more of Battleworld- it’s not just the setting of Secret Wars after both universes are destroyed. This is where the heroes will fight to survive.

“If you want the full story of what’s happening across the surface of this new planet, BATTLEWORLD branded titles are for you,” said Marvel Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso. “Who polices Battleworld? How do the various domains interact? What happens when those domains go to war?  What strange, never-before-seen creatures inhabit this world? What familiar faces will make appearances? Fans who want to fully understand how each sector interacts with the others can’t miss out on these books!”

Today Marvel revealed Warzones the last of three kinds of books and stories told during the major event.

“If you want a glimpse of what the future holds, you’ll find it in the WARZONES titles,” said Alonso. “Our creators let their imaginations run wild as they lay down the foundations for the future. Whether we’re revisiting the most popular events from Marvel’s past or telling completely new stories, you won’t believe what we’ve got in store for you.”
“To be clear, WARZONES! titles are not fill-ins. These are the event caliber books, magnified to the Nth degree,” says Marvel SVP Sales & Marketing David Gabriel. “Secret Wars has afforded us a completely unique opportunity to tell huge, epic, event-sized stories within the framework of this new, patchwork planet – events within events. These titles will lay the building blocks and groundwork for what’s next, if that gives any indication of how important they are!”

Marvel also revealed how Free Comic Book Day will lead into their huge 2015 event. Avengers, New Avengers, Secret Wars writer Jonathan Hickman and artist Paul Renaud are the creative team on Secret Wars #0 – the prologue to the first chapter of Marvel’s universe changing event.  This FCBD issue includes a preview of Attack on Avengers by the creator of Attack on Titan.

The second FCBD title will be the previously teased All-New, All-Different Avengers promising a “first taste of the all-new Marvel Universe as a blockbuster top secret Avengers creative team sets out on a new adventure” and asks “Who will be Earth’s Mightiest Heroes when the dust settles from Secret Wars?”

This second FCBD title will include a preview of Uncanny Inhumans by Charles Soule.

Free Comic Book Day is May 2, 2015.
