Decades later, Marvel is owned by Disney, Lucasfilm is owned by Disney.
At the Cup O’Joe panel at San Diego Comic Con, Marvel announced an all-star roster of creators for brand new Star Wars comics coming next year.
Star Wars #1 by Jason Aaron and John Cassaday coming in January. The book will be set after the destruction of the first Death Star.
Star Wars: Darth Vader by Kieron Gillen and Salvador Larroca with covers by Adi Granov. This will be set after the Death Star’s destruction told from the Sith Lord’s view as he fights for his control in the Imperial ranks. This arrives in February.
Star Wars: Princess Leia by Mark Waid and Terry Dodson. Set on Yavin after events in the first film as the Princess deals with the loss of her homeworld. This arrives in March.
