Assemble the A-Force!

Marvel announced its first all-female Avengers team on The View and via Mashable.

The roster will be She-Hulk, Dazzler, Medusa, Nico Minoru and others including a new superhero: a cosmically powered woman named Singularity.

A-Force will be co-written by Marvel exclusive writer G. Willow Wilson (Ms. Marvel) and Marguerite Bennett (Angela: Asgard’s Assassin, Lois Lane one-shot) with veteran X-Men artist Jorge Molina.

The new super group assembles when the current Avengers team disband in the midst of Secret Wars and this all-female team will “take over and lead the way” according to Marvel.

“We’ve purposefully assembled a team composed of very different characters — from disparate parts of the Marvel U, with very different power sets, identities and ideologies,” Wilson told Mashable. “They’ll all have to come together to answer some big questions: What would you sacrifice to succeed? What is being a hero worth?”

She-Hulk is an Avengers veteran, Medusa is Queen of the Inhumans, Dazzler is a veteran X-Man and recently a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent and Nico a magic powered character from the fan-favorite Runaways.

Seattle-based writer G. Willow Wilson created Kamala Khan, the new Muslim Ms. Marvel and is currently writing a four-part X-Men arc starring the all-female X-team lead by Storm.

She-Hulk, Medusa, Dazzler in her classic Disco look, Nico and the mysterious new hero are on the forefront of the cover by Jim Cheung leading a massive roster of Marvel’s most popular female characters including the Storm, Captain Marvel, Phoenix, Rogue and Spider-Woman.
