Margot Robbie (The Wolf of Wall Street) will play Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad according to Collider.
David Ayer will direct the film starring DC Comics villains and calls it “the dirty dozen with supervillains.”
Harley Quinn was created on Batman: The Animated Series as the Joker’s psychiatrist turned girlfriend/henchwoman. The fan-favorite character became part of Batman comics cannon and more of an anti-hero and now stars in her own solo series and New Suicide Squad.
This follows a report Jared Leto is in discussions to play the Joker.
Suicide Squad opens in 2016 after Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice according to Warner Brothers game plan for DC movies.
