Man of Steel star Henry Cavill says he wants to see a meet of the Man of Steel and The Dark Knight.
“I think it would be really interesting with the age-old Batman/Superman conflict,” he tells SFX, “because they are two different sides of the same coin and their methods are entirely different. And I think it would actually make for an interesting story as to why, first of all, they were going head to head and how. I think that would make a great story.”
Zach Snyder directed Man of Steel. Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight Trilogy) produced Man of Steel. David Goyer worked on scripts for both films. Christian Bale and Nolan have said The Dark Knight Rises was their last Batman film but maybe they could be tempted by the right script.
The DC Icons almost met in a film that would have been directed by Wolfgang Petersen in 2004.
DC Comics is about to launch a new Batman/Superman book by Greg Pak and Jae Lee revealing their first meeting in The New 52.
I recommend Batman/Superman Public Enemies by Jeph Loeb in which the two icons take on President Lex Luthor!
