The new and final trailer for Logan is here from Fox.
Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart returns as Wolverine and Professor X with James Mangold (The Wolverine) directing.
In the near future, the X-Man looking like his Old Man Logan cares for an ailing Professor X. Logan’s attempts to hide from the world and his past are torn away when a young mutant arrives hunted by a squad of soldiers.
Watch and enjoy but warning – there is language some may find offensive. It’s as sharp as the second set of claws we’re seeing for the first time.
Who’s who in this final film and how does it tie into comics?
The Weapon X Program is still active. The young girl is based on the comic book character Laura Kinney/X-23, a clone of Wolverine.
Richard E. Grant plays Dr. Xander Rice, the scientist who helped create and torment Logan’s “daughter.”
Leading the soldiers is Donald Pierce played by Boyd Holbrook. In the comics Pierce is a cyborg, former member of the Hellfire Club and leader of the Reavers, cyborg mercenaries who are all survivors of fights with Wolverine – minus their limbs.
Old Man Logan is a classic story set in the future where Wolverine is the last X-Man, he’s giving up his code-name and trying to live a quiet life raising a family in the desert.
Right now in the comics, the original Wolverine is dead, Old Man Logan came into his past and current time to prevent his future, X-23 has grown into a hero and taken the Wolverine code-name of her adoptive father.
Logan arrives March 3rd.
