Is Superman’s most infamous enemy now a superhero?
DC Comics shared a shocking new cover of Justice League #30 via the Associated Press.
The upcoming issue is the aftermath of Forever Evil – a huge event in which the Crime Syndicate (an evil version of Justice League from another Earth) conquered our world.
Lex Luthor has been leading a resistance while most of the iconic heroes like Superman, Wonder Woman and Aquaman have been trapped. Looks the classic super villain comes out a hero.
“Is he going to lead the Justice League? It depends on whom you ask on the team. Certainly, he thinks he should,” series writer and DC Comics Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns tells AP.
“I think the most interesting thing is that Lex doesn’t realize what it’s like to be a super hero, what the life is like. You make enemies, they attack you on a personal level. And he’s just Lex Luthor. He has no codename, no mask,” he said. “He has to deal with the ramifications of that.”
Flash Rogue Captain Cold is part of the post-Forever Evil team roster.
Justice League #30 arrives April 23.
