KYLE MacLACHLAN On TWIN PEAKS Return & New AGENTS OF SHIELD Reveal

The actor who played a beloved FBI Special Agent is now playing a villain opposite Agents of SHIELD.

 

Kyle MacLachlan made his first full appearance on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. last week.

 

Now Marvel is giving us a closer look at MacLachlan as “The Doctor.”

 

The veteran actor (Dune, Blue Velvet, Portlandia) is playing the father of Agent Skye (Chloe Bennett)

 

Today’s reveal came after huge news that Twin Peaks will return as a series event on Showtime in 2016.

 

MacLachlan played Agent Dale Cooper on the cult classic series. Creators David Lynch and Mark Frost and Showtime shared the news via this YouTube video starring Laura Palmer (Sheryl Lee) herself:

No official word on casting but MacLachlan appears ready to suit up again as Special Agent Dale Cooper.

The revival will return 25 years after the final episode aired on ABC and be set in the present day.
