KURT RUSSELL Joins GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOLUME TWO

Guardians of the Galaxy Volume Two is officially in production and bringing huge star power and an old school Avengers character.

Marvel and director James Gunn unveiled cast announcements including actress Pom Klementieff is playing Mantis with Elizabeth Debicki (the villain from The Man From UNCLE),  Chris Sullivan and Kurt Russell are joining the cast of the sequel starring Marvel’s outer space based heroes.

No official word but Russell is rumored to be playing the father of Peter Quill aka Star-Lord (Chris Pratt).

Mantis is a former Avenger known for her martial arts expertise, healing factor, empathy, an ability to communicate with the alien known as the Cotati and was part of the iconic Celestial Madonna Avengers storyline.

Guardians of the Galaxy Volume Two opens May 5, 2017.
