KItty Pryde and Colossus are getting married. There’s a certain real life writer who could be most appropriate father figure to walk her down the aisle.
Marvel revealed legendary creator Chris Claremont will be part of the X-MEN WEDDING SPECIAL celebrating the love of Kitty and Peter.
The special features stories by X-MEN GOLD writer Marc Guggenheim and ROGUE & GAMBIT writer Kelly Thompson. Claremont will contribute a new Kitty Pryde story in a wedding gift to X-fans. The special will be a companion to the X-MEN: GOLD storyline “‘Til Death Do Us Part,” with a look at Kitty and Peter’s march toward wedded bliss.
Claremont and artist John Byrne co-created Kitty Pryde in UNCANNY X-MEN #129 during the epic “Dark Phoenix Saga.” The teen mutant instantly has a crush on the Russian man of steel. Piotor “Peter” Rasputin and Kitty have been on-again, off-again, torn apart by death, resurrection, alien conspiracies, supernatural and cosmic forces but Kitty recently proposed to Colossus.
The road to mutant marriages never run smooth so expect intrigue along with all the romance.
The X-MEN WEDDING SPECIAL arrives in May.
