Here comes Kid Flash.
DC Comics and The CW showed this first look at the new speedster joining the hit series.
Keiynan Lonsdale joined The Flash last season as Wally West, the son and brother Joe and Iris West never knew they had.
Now here’s the first official image of Lonsdale as Kid Flash.
In the comics Kid Flash is the alias Wally initially adopted after being struck by lightning in the same way that Barry Allen was. Kid Flash was a sidekick to Allen’s Flash was a founding member of the Teen Titans.
While the show’s Wally has different relationship to Barry than in the comics. (Where Wally is the nephew of Iris West, and after their marriage, to Barry,)
Wally’s costume is very close to what fans have seen in comics.
The comic book Wally West recently returned to comics canon in DC Universe Rebirth.
Lonsdale will make his first appearance as Kid Flash in The Flash Season 3 premiere episode, “Flashpoint,” on October 4, 2016.
