Lois Lane is in Smallville on the Kent family farm seeing Clark who references her saying yes and an engagement ring.
The ring she threw on Kal-El’s coffin in the finale of BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE.
Lois wakes up for her dream. The world is a nightmare. No Superman. No hope.
Batman and Wonder Woman are recruiting other metahumans Flash, Cyborg and Aquaman for the coming war.
The Earth is primed for invasion. Steppenwolf makes his first but brief appearance. The main villain of the film is the General and Uncle of Darkseid, ruler of another dimension, with an army of flying soldiers called Parademons. The bad guys are from a planet called Apokolips. In this reality there’s also a New Genesis. Those are the creations of the legendary Jack Kirby in his Fourth World line of comics.
Will Superman return?
In BvS, the Dark Knight has visions of an Earth conquered by a corrupted Superman with Parademons and cult-like soldiers and giant omega symbols – the icons of Darkseid.
Will Superman be a villain too or will the Man of Steel fans see a heroic return?
Director Joss Whedon is finishing up the film following Zack Snyder’s departure.
