Chris Pratt could be the biggest leading man of summer box-office again. After soaring as Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy last summer, Pratt is battling dinosaurs in Jurassic World and he’s the GQ cover guy next month.

Not bad for the Lake Stevens, Washington native and former sitcom star.

There is no denying Pratt now but in the upcoming issue he reveals how actors would hit on Anna Faris and like he wasn’t there.

“I’ve had those moments where I was like the guy holding the purse at events and people just looked right through me,” Pratt tells GQ’s Chris Heath of the time before he was a box-office champ.

“And, you know, actors come up and just blatantly hit on my wife in front of me and don’t even look at me. I’m like ‘What the —-, dude?’ I can think of exactly who they are, too, and I hope they —-ing audition for Guardians of the Galaxy.”

Pratt talks about his body transformation for the long-term.

“I think outwardly I was having more fun,” Pratt says of his former heavier body. “I was more fun to be around, probably. That image that I was casting, to convince people that I was okay, was a really fun person to hang around. Now I have less fun. I focus more. She [Pratt’s wife] doesn’t get to cook for me the way she used to. I was like a great pet fat guy.” Though Pratt says he thinks Faris is playing the long game, “I think Anna is hedging her bets that one day I’ll be fat again, and she’ll say, ‘Remember, honey, I always told you I preferred you this way.’”

The other transition for Pratt is his acting from supporting to leading man.

“I thought I was bad, I thought I was doing bad acting,” Pratt says of moments on the set of Guardians. Director James Gunn, Pratt explains, had little patience for such insecurities; “He’d be ‘It’s not your —-ing movie, dude, it’s mine! Trust me and shut the —- up and do what the — I tell you…’” But, Gunn sticks to the notion that he saw something early on in Pratt. “I said before we ever started shooting Guardians that Chris Pratt’s the biggest movie star in the world, it’s just that people don’t know it yet.”

See Pratt in Jurassic World on June 12th and in the June issue of GQ will on newsstands in New York and Los Angeles on May 19 and across the country on May 26.
