Jean Grey is coming back to lead a new X-Team. Marvel revealed the team lineup of fan-favorites and new mystery mutants. Writer Tom Taylor and Mahmud Asrar will launch the new X-Book.
Jean will return in PHOENIX RESURRECTION: THE RETURN OF (ADULT) JEAN GREY in December. Marvel shared via Twitter the cast of X-MEN: RED:
Nightcrawler, the teleporting Kurt Wagner is currently a team of the Kitty Pryde led X-MEN: GOLD.
Namor the Sub-Mariner is one of Marvel’s first heroes. Namor is the half-Atlantean ruler of Atlantis, an Avenger, a Defender, a Fantastic Four villain and ally. When the X-Men moved to the West Coast, Namor joined the team and formed an alliance to create an island refuge for mutants with a new home of Atlanteans below. Namor was one of the hosts when the Phoenix Force was split into five mutants.
Gentle, Nezhno Abidemi, a Wakandan mutant with the power to increase his mass and strength at will.
All-New Wolverine/Laura Kinney, the former X-23 is now carrying the code-name and wearing the costume of her “father” the late James Howlett/Wolverine.
Gabby is Laura’s cloned sister recently revealed in the pages of ALL-NEW WOLVERINE by Taylor.
Trinary is a brand new mutant.
One more team member will be revealed.
X-Fans should note the adult Jean is wearing a uniform reminiscent of her X-Men Gold days but with red instead of gold. No word yet on if Jean will be reunited with Professor Xavier – kind of resurrected in the pages of ASTONISHING X-MEN in an astral plane war or Logan the original Wolverine – revealed to be alive in the MARVEL LEGACY one-shot.
