After Infinity comes Inhumanity!

Matt Fraction described Inhumanity as the new state of Marvel Universe like Dark Reign followed Secret Invasion.

We learned even more about the impact at New York Comic Con but before I continue…

Spoiler Alert!

If you haven’t read Infinity #4 stop reading now.

Here it comes…

In an incredible showdown between Thanos, Black Bolt set off a Terragen Bomb which cascaded across the globe. Humans with long-buried Inhuman DNA were triggered including the long hidden son of Thanos.

The Inhumans were always hidden away in Attilan. Now ordinary humans (in the thousands? millions?) suddenly have strange appearances and powers of an alien origin.

“It’s a very important thing for Marvel. We feel very strongly about what everyone is doing. It’s going to continue in all of our other books,” said Avengers, Infinity writer Jonathan Hickman.

“Inhumanity is going to continue in all our other books. You’re going to see what happened with Black Bolt and what he’s done in New Avengers,” he added.

“Like all big books, you’re going to have ripple effects. The Inhumans predate the super hero and they predate the mutant. They were here first. They have a major claim to lay.” said Editor-In-Chief Axel Alonso,

“The Inhumans – there’s a lot of them and they’re going to be here to stay. They predate everyone – the mutants and superheroes… and they’re not all going to like each other.” he added.

Inhumanity will tie into other Marvel team books and there will be a tie-in book starring Medusa, Black Bolt’s Queen – and one of my personal favorite characters in all of Marvel.

Matt Fraction launches a brand new Inhuman #1 in January after a one-shot starring Karnak.
