Season Four came out blazing with Ghost Rider, supernatural threats, new team dynamics but the Inhuman storyline comes back with a vengeance in this week’s episode Uprising.

“A team divided is a team defeated” and the new S.H.I.E.L.D. could be splitting like the Avengers in Captain America: Civil War.

The new S.H.I.E.L.D. director wants a perfect public image now that it’s under government overview again but there’s division brewing as he keeps Coulson from an ailing May.

Before we continue with this episodes big moments and questions here’s a SPOILER WARNING!

If you have not seen this week’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episode stop reading now.

Seriously.

OK.

Here it comes.

A party with Mack and Maria goes dark as a blackout blankets the city leading to a chain of disastrous accidents.

The show’s title transitions to a broadcast from an unknown enemy claiming to be part of the “Inhuman resistance” and threatens more blackouts in other cities unless the Sokovia Accords registration for Inhumans is repealed.
The only Inhuman with the power to create blackouts was the now dead Lincoln Campbell.
Is there another Inhuman with a similar power?
Is someone using an EMP (electromagnetic pulse) power or device?

May is going mad seeing ghostly visions and could die since other victims of the apparition infection have been scared to death…literally.
May is turned over to the Mad Scientist Radliffe who uses a helmet right out of Cerebro by Stark Industries to diagnose “The Calvalry” but how will he rescue her by curing fear? The answer is a tension filled plan to kill her to purge the ghostly toxin – which is interupted by one of the blackouts.

Coulson, Mack, Yo-Yo and Fitz’s investigation of more blackouts leads to the Watchdogs? How did these anti-Inhuman hate-based, home-grown terrorists grow globally and get Sokovia Accords Inhuman registration files? The Watchdogs are framing the Inhumans as the blackout terrorists but who is behind their expansion?

Quake/Daisy and Robbie Reyes continue to bond as a vigilantes when taking on gangs who attack Robbie’s brother during the blackout. The two learn more about each motivations and his uncle Eli’s connection to the lab that unleashed the ghosts of this season.

The final scene may reveal the big bad of the season.

Senator Nadir watches coverage of the latest Inhuman crisis when she gets a call from a Watchdog. As Nadir exits she bids goodbye to her brother: he looks like an Inhuman still in the Terrigenesis process or it transformed him into a statue.

Could her brother turn out to be an Inhuman we know from the comics?

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs Tuesdays at 10pm on ABC.
