The Black Order of Thanos is attacking Earth while the Avengers are fighting The Builders in space. New heroes are rising up to protect the planet in Infinity: The Hunt. The first issue arrives Wednesday.
Writer Matt Kindt reveals Wolverine, She-Hulk and Hank Pym are the co-leads in this “contest of champions” tie-in series:
“Well, the contest isn’t going to get to take place. It gets pre-empted by Thanos; so in true villain form he ruins everything, including my new contest of champions! But it happens in such a way that we’ll get introduced to a few brand new schools that are teaching “weirdly talented” students,” Kindt told Marvel.com.
Kindt says to watch for Quentin Quire (aka Kid Omega) of Wolverine and the X-Men and other members of the Jean Grey School along with the Braddock School (recently established in Avengers Arena) and Wakandan students. As you can see from the cover Shuri (Black Panther’s sister) and (is that Meggan from Excalibur?) play a role in the “contest.”
Infinity: The Hunt by Kindt and artist Steven Sanders begins this week.
