One of Marvel’s biggest events roars back in 2015.
The Marvel tease machine is unleashing wave after wave of what appears to be new takes on classic stories from Civil War to Planet Hulk.
Today marks the arrival of Infinity Gauntlet 2015.
Thanos took on the entire Marvel Universe back in the classic Jim Starlin series in which the Mad God of Titan assembled the Infinity gems on the gauntlet and wiped out half the universe.
The new teaser shows Thanos with the ominous cosmic weapon but with some very different co-stars including Star-Lord from Guardians of the Galaxy and members of the Nova Corps.
While some fans wonder if Marvel is really reworking so many classic stories or it is all part of the first teaser – a brand new Secret Wars by Jonathan Hickman which showed heroes from multiple Earths in battle.
The gauntlet and infinity gems have appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films including Thor, Thor: The Dark World, Guardians of the Galaxy. The epic could be the basis for a possible Avengers/Guardians team-up movie.
