INFINITY #6 arrives like a cosmic level Hulk smashing right into your senses, reshaping the entire Marvel Universe and showing why Earth’s Mightiest Heroes are the greatest champions of any universe.

Jonathan Hickman takes multiple massive storylines, a staggering cast of heroes and villains with big themes and weaves them into an ambitious epic that works on every level. Artists Jim Cheung and Dustin Weaver are at the top of game taking Hickman’s action-packed and universe expanding script and making spectacular scenes on every page.

The Avengers saved the universe from the Builders but come home to find their world under the grip of Thanos. Captain America proves he a master strategist with a bold plan to bust the alien blockade and take down the Black Order. The fight scenes will make you cheer and swoon. The Illuminati (Black Panther, Iron Man, Reed Richards, Doctor Strange, Namor) face the cosmic threat that’s been building in New Avengers and when it’s done the covert cabal have an even bigger secret.

What of the Inhumans?

Black Bolt did the unthinkable to stop the Mad God of Titan. Now Inhumanity is spreading across Earth while the Royal Family may be crushed forever. And then there’s the son of Thanos. In just a few chapters Hickman made me care about this lost son who may be the biggest new threat to the Avengers…maybe even more dangerous than Thanos.
INFINITY is the new King of the Epics – this is how an event should be done.
The Avengers are stronger than ever.

An entire world of new heroes, villains and possibilities will be explored in Inhumanity.
The alien empires are aligned for incredible new story potential.
The Illuminati may be hiding the biggest secret in their long and controversial history.

You have to wonder could this storyline be the basis in part for Avengers 3 when the heroes could face Thanos on the big screen? Which demonstrates why Infinity is cinematic storytelling at its best.
And this is just Hickman’s first year on the Avengers!

Don’t miss the epilogue in New Avengers #12 also out this week.
