Hugh Jackman will play Wolverine one last time in an upcoming follow-up to The Wolverine.
Jackman will re-team with director James Mangold for the last film with the claws and chops.
The actor is giving fans a chance to share their thoughts on his final performance as the X-Man.
Jackman shared this image via Twitter and Instagram with the invitation:
“My last time putting on the claws. 50 words or less. I’ll read as many as I can.”
We humbly suggested the Wolverine and Kitty Pryde limited series as inspiration. Logan returned to face his corrupted mentor Ogun and this was Kitty’s transformation into Shadowcat. You can’t go wrong with a story by Chris Claremont.
Jackman, Ellen Page, demons, ninjas, mutants and high drama as Logan’s favorite sidekick (for us old school X-fans) is in danger of going to the dark side. This concept is one of our top 15 geek wishes of 2015.
Producers can take inspiration from the classic limited series and the most recent Death of Wolverine in which Kitty joined Logan on his final adventure to Japan, our favorite chapter of last year’s blockbuster farewell to the X-Man.
The Wolverine limited series by Claremont and Frank Miller was the inspiration for the previous film.
