Hugh Jackman is playing Wolverine one last time, teasing the story for his final film and even suggesting who could take over the role next.

First the story of the story:

Patrick Stewart already said he would be appearing as Professor X in the sequel.

Jackman hinted the film will explore the relationship between Logan and Xavier.

“I’ll be really honest with you, the actual script in its full form we’re up to about Page 60. Obviously there’s a treatment, so it’s not fully done yet, we’re not fully there. Patrick does figure in it that’s for sure. I think it’s a really important relationship but I want to see signs of that quasi-father/son sort of relationship that has not been seen before, and sides of particularly Professor X that have not been seen before. So we have some really, really cool ideas.” Jackman told Collider.

Now for who could take on the role next:

During an interview to promote Pan, Jackman was asked which younger actor would take over the role in a reimagined or younger version of the X-Man?

“That’s a great question. I really haven’t give it a lot of thought. I’ve been asked the question a lot. And I was like…I don’t want to make it to easy for the studio to replace me. I’ve still go one more to do. I’m sure they’re already talking about it.  There’s some actor out there “shhh keep it quiet but we want you.” I’m sure I think Tom Hardy would be great.” Jackman told MTV News.

Jackman said he would start training before filming next year for a possible release in 2017. James Mangold will be back to direct.

Earlier this year the actor asked fans via social media for what they want to see in his final film. Here’s what we want for Jackman’s final Wolverine film for your consideration.
