You may remember the “twins” were revealed in the post-credits sequence of Captain America: The Winter Soldier. The brother and sister who will be revealed as Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch are prisoners of Baron Wolfgang von Strucker in a secret Hydra base. The twins have powers as a result of exposure to Loki’s alien staff and gem recovered after the battle of New York in The Avengers.
This week Hydra scientist Dr. List refers to:
Baron von Strucker, a major villain in the sequel.
Sokovia, a fictional nation and setting in the sequel.
The twins, Hydra’s greatest successes in their experiments involving Loki’s weapon.
We learn new spy lingo. Coulson and Maria Hill (guest star Cobie Smulders) reveal “Theta Protocol” is sending the Avengers into battle.
Visions of Ultron? New Inhuman Raina now has visions of the future. She tells Jiaying her visions of Loki’s scepter and how “men made of metal will destroy our cities.
