The Flash/Arrow crossover event: Heroes Join Forces begins tonight on The CW leading to Legends of Tomorrow is the third live action series set in the Arrow and Flash universe with actors.

Tonight Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) encounters Kendra/Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee) and Carter Hall/Hawkman (Falk Hentschel).

The action will speed from Central City to Starling City on Arrow as fan-favorite and new heroes join together against the threat of Vandal Savage which continues in the time spanning new series.

Carter and Kendra are lovers who keep reincarnating. The passionate warriors have already been seen going at each other in the latest Legends of Tomorrow trailer.

Hentschel describes the Carter/Kendra relationship on the crossover and series:

“Bickering! Carter comes into this telling Kendra, “Oh, we’ve done this hundreds of times. You’ll love me. You’ll get there. You may not love me now, but you’ll remember.” And meanwhile, she’s just like, “Who are you? You’re nuts.”

That dynamic keeps going. I feel like we disagree most of the time, but in a fun, loving way. Obviously, as we go on, there’s that 4,000-year-old attraction that’s just sort of undeniable.” told DCComics.com.

Savage is immortal evil. Hawkman was born from Egyptian mythology. Hentschel reveals the two have a history:
“Oh yes, they go back 4,000 years. What we’re doing [on the show] is that they got intertwined when these comets hit and their life forces are now shared. We reincarnate, Hawkman and Hawkgirl, and he becomes immortal. He’ll die and just come right back. There’s also a sort of love triangle that’s been going on for 4,000 years.”

Watch the Hawks on The Flash tonight at 8pm on The CW.

Heroes Join Forces continues tomorrow night on Arrow on The CW.
