DC Comics announced a major casting for DC’s Legends of Tomorrow on The CW. Falk Hentschel has been cast as Carter Hall aka Hawkman on the upcoming spinoff.
The actor will join Ciara Renee who is playing Kendra Saunders aka Hawkgirl. Carter and Kendra are the modern days version of an ancient Egyptian couple. The soulmates are reincarnated in the modern era and can access the power of the “Hawk God” turning them into winged warriors.
Hentschel as Hawkman will first appear in crossover episodes of Arrow and The Flash before joining the super-team spinoff Legends of Tomorrow in 2016.
Kentshel appears on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. last season.
Before Warner Brothers revealed their post Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice movie lineup we picked Hawkman as a hero to star in his own movie but at least we’ll have Legends of Tomorrow.
In comics Carter Hall is a version of Katar Hol, the Hawkman of the planet Thanagar – a very different sci-fi origin of the winged vigilante.
