Happy Earth Day.
Today is day to remember the planet we call home and demonstrate support for environmental protection.
On this Earth Day I can’t help but think of Storm of the X-Men. The weather controlling mutant isn’t just a woman who can summon storms, lighting and icy winds. Ororo’s mutation is tied to the Earth itself.
This is one of my favorite images by Salvador Larroca of Storm from Uncanny X-Men #487. Personally I consider Larroca one of these greatest artists when it comes to demonstrating the power and beauty of Storm from his many runs on X-books.
In reality we don’t have a mutant who can clear pollution from our skies and seas. We do have the power to think about our choices and how they affect our planet.
