HAPPY 75TH BATMAN at ECCC

Happy 75th Anniversary Batman. The Dark Knight made his debut in Detective Comics #27 on March 30, 1939. DC Comics proclaimed April Batman month and unveiled a new logo and plans for the 75th Anniversary celebration.

 

Batman rules Gotham City but DC is unveiling big plans in the Emerald City this weekend. Batman writer Scott Snyder revealed the Savage City – the final arc of Zero Year. Snyder is joined by fellow Batman Eternal writers James Tynion, Tim Seeley, Ray Fawkes, Kyle Higgins and artist Dustin Nguyen are at Emerald City Comicon in Seattle giving fans a look at what’s ahead in Batman and Batman Eternal, the new weekly series starting next month.

In the Eternal Batman panel Snyder and Tynion explain how they wrote the skeleton and big ending. All the writers will explore every character and corner of Gotham City as they build up to an ending and click that big machinery forward.”

 

“You’re going to see all of your favorite villains,” he continued. “Basically everybody’s status changed, mythology turned on its head.” The story, he said, will “shake things up in a good way, that’s true to the core.”
