Natasha Romanoff makes 50 look killer.
Marvel’s Black Widow is celebrating her 50th birthday. The deadly assassin turned Avenger and S.H.I.E.L.D. super spy made her debut in Tales of Suspense #52. Back then the KGB agent/assassin went up against Tony Stark in Cold War era storylines of the 1960’s.
Natasha is now a multimedia sensation played by Scarlett Johansson in Iron Man, Captain America and Avengers movies plus Marvel could be planning a solo movie for her.
Johansson is reprising her role in Captain America: The Winter Soldier in April, 2014 and Avengers: Age of Ultron in Summer, 2015. Joss Whedon says Black Widow has a significant role in the sequel starring Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
With Natasha ties star power and ties to so many marquee characters here are some of the limitless ideas for Black Widow movies.
In comics – Natasha continues to appear in Avengers, Secret Avengers and her own solo series. The new Black Widow series by writer Nathan Edmondson and Phil Noto is a must for Natasha fans as she goes on missions to make up for her past as an assassin.
Her past is dark but for Natasha fans, the future is bright as she is Marvel’s reigning super heroine of comics and movies.
Below take a look at this blast from the past: Here’s Natasha in her old school femme fatale mode from way back in Tales of Suspense #52 when Natasha and the Crimson Dynamo took on Tony Stark (aka Iron Man.)
