Marvel scored an inter-galactic touchdown with a new extended preview seen round the globe (via the web if you missed the game!)
The Guardians of the Galaxy, Volume 2 Big Game Spot was big on action and character. The futuristic sequel featured a classic 1970’s throwback – this time with a Fleetwood Mac soundtrack!
Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket and Baby Groot will be joined by new addition Mantis. The trailer sure makes it look like villains Yondu and Nebula may become Guardians? Plus, a got a first look at a new important alien.

The woman in gold was Elizabeth Debicki who plays Ayesha. In this comics this golden alien is known by Ayesha, Kismet, Paragon and Her. This is an artificially created super being by a reclusive group of scientists known as the Enclave. Her was the second attempt to create this super being after Him aka Adam Warlock, a huge character central to the Avengers fight against Thanos and all of Marvel’s cosmic stories but so far there’s no official word if Warlock will join the films.
In the comics Mantis was a human who developed empathic powers and martial arts skills. She was seen by the Kree as a the future “Celestial Madonna” who would bond with another race, the Cotati.
Still unseen: Kurt Russell will play Ego, The Living Planet and father of Star-Lord.

On Free Comic Book Day aka first Saturday in May, Marvel will have a Guardians of the Galaxy free preview prequel to to the new series.
