GUARDIANS 3000 Brings Back DAN ABNETT

The original Guardians of the Galaxy are back in brand new series from Dan Abnett and Gerardo Sandoval.

The current cast of the hit comic book series and upcoming Marvel movie are the new generation of heroes to have the moniker.

The original version of the team were survivors of a massive war who banded together in the 31st century against the Brotherhood of the Badoon.

Vance Astro, Starhawk, Charlie 27, Yondu and Martinex unite against new threats in the future Marvel Universe.

The originals return in Guardians 3000 #1 in October.

Fans got a preview in the milestone Guardians of the Galaxy #14.

Michael Rooker is playing a character named Yondu in the movie – out August 1st. No official word on if he’s exactly like his comic book counterpart.

Dan Abnett (with Andy Lanning) took various solo characters to create the current version of the Guardians in the Annihilation event.
