If you thought the Maniax were crazy wait until next week’s Gotham.
An army of assassins went after Jim Gordon on this week’s episode but perhaps the most chilling moment was at the end that tied to the big theory about the the big bad Theo Galavan.
Before we continue here’s a SPOILER ALERT!
If you have not seen this week’s Gotham stop reading now.
OK.
Here it comes:
Theo Galavan sat behind bars while his sister reached out a mystery woman (Michelle Gomez of Doctor Who) who sent wave after wave of assassins (including Grant Morrison creation, Flamingo) to kill Gordon.
While fans have speculate if the Galavans are connected to The Court of Owls, this week’s episode saw the arrival of what looked like an order of mad monks led by the mystery man who appeared in a recent episode who called on this “brothers.”
Right after the hooded men arrived on the docks of Gotham City, they proceeded to stab a security guard and began their march into the city…and Wayne Manor?
As revealed earlier, Galvan is descended from the Duma, one of the most powerful families of old Gotham who was exiled by the Waynes.
Is Galavan founder/member of funder of The Order of St. Dumas? This cult offshoot of the Knights Templar produced Jean Paul Valley aka Azrael, the man who replaces Batman. Could we see a meeting of the young Wayne and Valley before this season is over?
Only one episode until the Fall finale. Galavan gets out of jail and may have his own army of fanatics to execute his plan to kill young Bruce Wayne.
Gotham airs Mondays at 8pm on FOX.
