Gotham The Fall Finale was packed with action, shocks, revelations and the debut of two classic Batman villains.
Rise of the Villains gave us the possible birth of the Joker mythology, Erin Richards as Barbara becoming a Harley Quinn-esque foe, the Order of St. Dumas and hints that the The Court of Owls are lurking.
In Worse Than a Crime James Gordon got surprising news but went down a dark path and Galavan ended up in the hands of a classic Batman villain….one of two that will make the second half of the season…chilling…literally!
Before we reveal our big burning questions here’s a…

Here it comes.
Jim Gordon…father and fugitive?
Gordon, Lucius Fox, Alfred Pennyworth and Selina Kyle made an alliance with Penguin to raid Galavan’s hideout to save Bruce. After learning Lee was pregnant, Gordon made a deal with Penguin to get her to safety. After a bloody battle to stop the ceremony Gordon stopped Penguin’s brutal beating of Galavan only to then shoot him dead. Gordon was already a fugitive. What happened after Captain Barnes got knocked out and Penguin and Gordon’s fateful return to the Gotham pier where it appears Gordon shot Galavan? It looks like Gordon is free and clear when he reunites with Lee and proposes. Will Lee say yes or will Gordon’s descent to the dark side make her say no?
The birth of Batgirl?
Lee revealed she’s pregnant. Morena Baccarin is actually pregnant. In a diversion from comics canon, will Lee be the mother of Barbara Gordon, the future Batgirl? Why would Jim and Lee name their child after the insane lost love or will Barbara Kean make a recovery from near death and definite insanity? Maybe Gordon and Lee will not have a happy ending after all? Baccarin is starring in Deadpool opening in February and she may be on maternity leave when filming begins on the second half of the season.
Doctor Strange I presume?
The Doctor is in…sane! Theo Galavan’s dead body was revealed to be in a Wayne Enterprises lab run by Doctor Strange and his assistant said the doctor had “high hopes” for him.
Will Galavan rise again?
If Strange has Galavan’s corpse could the genius resurrect the mad Dumas descendant? In the comics Professor Huge Strange created zombies and turn ordinary citizens into monsters with this mastery of chemistry, biology and psychology.
Will Fish Mooney swim again?
When Strange’s lab is revealed we see a woman in what appears to be suspension tubes with the signature shocking red/pink streaked hair that looks like Fish Mooney!
Is it just wishful thinking on our part or playful teasing on the part of producers? Jada Pinkett Smith left at the end of Season One and is seemed Oswald pushed his former boss off a roof. Could Fish’s body have been recovered and up for resurrection by Strange?
Is this the last of The Order of St. Dumas?
The mad monks wanted to cleanse Gotham by killing Bruce. Are all the members of the order insane enforcers of Galavan dead or will more of the Order arrive in Gotham seeking revenge? Could we see Jean Paul Valley, the future Azriel aka the man who replaced Bruce as Batman?
What is Mister Freeze’s cold agenda?
A hooded Freeze stalked and aimed his cold gun at a frantic mystery man in a suit and hat? Victor Fries is obsessed with reviving his ailing wife Nora and turns to crime to fund his research. In Strange’s lab, several bodies appeared to be on ice in suspended animation. Could Strange and Freeze already have a sinister alliance in the labs of Wayne Enterprises? Are these evil geniuses and their agendas part of the conspiracy within the company?
Will the Owls Finally Land in Gotham?
Freeze could be another omen that producers will include The Court of Owls as part of the series mythology. In comics, The Court uses Freeze’s technology to keep their Talons on ice.
Galavan Girls Gone Wild?
After Theo threatened to kill his niece, Tabitha turned on her brother and escaped with Silver St. Cloud. Does this mean the Tigress will attack again and will Silver work her wiles again on Bruce?
Did Lucius Fox fix Thomas Wayne’s secret hard drive in order to recover the secrets that could expose the conspiracy in the company?
