GOTHAM Casts HARVEY DENT

Producers add another classic Batman character to Gotham.

 

Nicholas D’Agosto (Masters of Sex, Heroes) will play Harvey Dent according to Deadline. He will be a recurring player with an option become a series regular in Season Two.

 

Dent is the idealistic young lawyer who becomes District Attorney and the “White Knight” of Gotham City. In the comics mob boss Salvatore Maroni throws acid   which disfigures Dent and drives him insane creating a second personality. Dent becomes the super villain Two-Face.

 

In the series Dent is described as an assistant D.A. The character of Boss Maroni (David Zayas) is already on the series.

 

The pre-Batman series has introduced classic rogues Selina Kyle, Oswald Cobblepot, Edward Nygma, Poison Ivy and Carmine Falcone.

 

Tommy Lee Jones played Two-Face in Batman Forever. Aaron Eckhart played Dent in The Dark Knight.

 

Gotham airs Mondays at 8pm on Fox.
