Geek Summer Obsessions! When we revealed our most anticipated movies and comic books of 2013 in January how could we have known the amazing new projects now on the horizon! We know what’s going to drive us to cinemas but these are the books that will make us race to the comic shops this summer:

Daredevil: Dark Nights (June) Acclaimed writer Mark Waid just celebrated the 25th issue of his run with a brand new villain. An all-star team of creators contribute stories to this eight part special series devoted to The Man Without Fear! Artist Lee Weeks (Last Rites) kicks off the event with a story he wrote and drew.

Green Lantern (July) All-new creative teams on all the books starring the heroes and villains of the Green Lantern Corps with Robert Venditti and Billy Tan taking over the lead book in Green Lantern #21.

The Wake (TBD) Scott Snyder and Sean Murphy explore the depths of fear in a new Vertigo series mixing monsters, sci-fi and horror. Snyder and Murphy last teamed up on American Vampire: Survival of the Fittest.

Batman Year Zero (June) After unleash the Court of Owls and the Joker, powerhouse team Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo takes us back to Bruce Wayne’s first year as Batman in The New 52.
