Have you ever wanted to be Jon Snow?

GAME OF THRONES®: ASCEND THE WALL EXPERIENCE is coming to EMP Museum for a limited run.

The HBO® 4D Interactive Virtual Reality Experience Transports Fans into the Enchanted World of Game of Thrones®

EMP Museum announces the arrival of Game of Thrones®: Ascend the Wall on November 13, 2014.  Fans will have an opportunity to participate in a new, fully immersive, 4D Oculus Rift virtual reality experience that will place them within the world of Westeros. Visitors will journey to the top of the iconic 700 ft. ice wall by stepping into a physical recreation of the Castle Black winch elevator and wearing the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset and a pair of headphones. From that moment on, visitors will find themselves inside a virtual version of the elevator – one that looks, sounds, and feels extremely real, providing an unprecedented, immersive Game of Thrones experience.  Game of Thrones®: Ascend the Wall runs through January 4, 2015 at EMP and is included with museum admission.

Based on George R.R. Martin’s best-selling series A Song of Fire and Ice, Game of Thrones® is an epic fantasy drama whose storylines of treachery and nobility, family and honor, ambition and love, and death and survival, have captured the imagination of fans globally and made it one of the most popular shows on television.

In addition to Game of Thrones®: Ascend the Wall, EMP’s current exhibition Fantasy: Worlds of Myth and Magic features artifacts from Game of Thrones® including stunning costumes and original manuscripts. Created by artisans whose extraordinary craftsmanship has lent authenticity to the show since its inception, visitors can view Cersei Lannister’s red embroidered silk gown and engraved metal corset and Tyrion Lannister’s red leather doublet. A page from the Game of Thrones® manuscript by George R.R. Martin and a page from HBO’s pilot production script are also on display.
