The Punisher is back in a brand new number one out Wednesday.
Frank Castle’s war on crime takes him out west.
But now he’s the hunted!
Writer Nathan Edmondson (Black Widow) and artist Mitch Gerads launch Punisher #1.
Frank Castle heads west to Los Angeles to take down the source of guns and drugs but learns he’s the target of a military hit squad.
The creative reveal their take on Castle and how he’ll stalk criminals in L.A. with Marvel.com.
“He’s very tactical. Nothing is for show. He knows exactly where he needs to move in a room, how to move in a room. He knows how to cover himself and how not to expose himself. He moves with that grace and fluidity, but also with raw energy,” said Gerads.
“Our Frank is a little less gorilla and a little more panther. Maybe panther’s too lithe. Maybe it’s more lion. Not necessarily suave, but he’s got that “Tread lightly” ability. Criminals won’t hear him coming. He’s not afraid to kick the door open, but more often they’ll just turn around only for him to strike from the shadows. They’ll have no idea how he got in the room,” said Edmondson.
Edmondson writes the new Black Widow series with artist Phil Noto. Black Widow #3 also arrives this week.
