FOREVER EVIL #2 Review

Forever Evil 2The Justice League is dead.

The world belongs to the Crime Syndicate.

Lex Luthor is not having it.

In Forever Evil #2 Geoff Johns and David Finch make being bad so good!

Lex Luthor wasn’t invited to the Secret Society of Super Villains party. He’s scrambling in the dark ruins of Metropolis searching for a Super weapon to take on this twisted version of the Justice League. In a darkly comic twist Johns proves Luthor may be the hero of this epic but he’s not the movie Lex who suffers buffoons.

After the elimination of the Justice League and unmasking of Nightwing the Teen Titans make a bold attempt to take down the Syndicate. Johnny Quick’s defeat of the kids leads to a whole new mystery I’m excited to see Johns weave this into this story.

The greatest threat to the Crime Syndicate may lie within the twisted team itself. Johns starts diving into what makes each member tick, why they left their world and Superwoman’s huge secret. The fun of Forever Evil is wondering when and how the arrogant evil Justice League will get the payback they deserve. Will it be Lex Luthor and his personal Superman, rogue Rogues or the characters who make a shocking return in the final page!

Forever Evil #2 is a satisfying follow up to the shocking events of the premiere and set the stage for the war of the bad guys ahead. Johns and Finch must be having fun playing in this twisted new status quo because I’m having a blast reading it.
