The first Captain America: Civil War trailer  is here with a high impact, action and emotion punch as Steve Rogers takes on Tony Stark.

Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. introduced the first trailer on Jimmy Kimmel Live.  Marvel via Twitter  shared three new posters for the superhero showdown Based on the comics epic by Mark Millar.

The clash of heroes follows the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron in Sokovia and the hunt for assassin Winter Soldier. Bucky Barnes was Cap’s best friend who was a brainwashed assassin for Hydra. It appears Bucky is free of the mind control but someone is framing him for new acts of terror.

There’s always been an uneasy friendship between Rogers and Stark but that will explode into all-out war.

Here are our favorite moments from the first trailer:

Iron Man vs Captain America and Winter Soldier!

Steve and Bucky are delivering a serious beatdown on Tony even using the famous shield in tandem but is it really Tony under the armor in this fight?

Black Panther unleashed!

It’s brief but powerful. The African superhero looks regal and badass in his armor and proves his fighting prowess taking down Bucky. Chadwick Boseman is the hero under the Panther mask. This hero’s homeland, Wakanda, was referenced in Age of Ultron and is the only known source of vibranium, which is what Cap’s shield is made from. It looks like T’Challa is on Stark’s side but will he stay on it as the conflict escalates.

War Machine down?

Tony looks devastated and furious holding James Rhodes (Don Cheadle) who falls in battle. Did Cap or one of his resistance allies take down Rhodey and will he survive?

Whose Side is Black Widow on?

Natasha has been closer to Cap over the years but will she turn on him and side with Stark and the pro-registration movement? It’s hard to believe a woman whose lived in the shadowy underworld would want to be out in the open or does she see this as her chance to finally wipe the “red from her ledger” and start a new life? Or is she the wild card inside Stark’s movement secretly working for Cap? In comics, Natasha and Bucky become a couple – will it happen in the movies?

Thunderbolt Ross Thunders Back!

William Hurt reprises his role as General “Thunderbolt” Ross from The Incredible Hulk. It was Hurt and Downey who shared the first post-credits scene moment in the Hulk movie. It appears Ross will enforce the “Sokovia Accords” will be this film’s version of the Superhero Registration Act – the government crackdown forcing all heroes to register, give up their secret identities and become paid government operatives.

Cap vs Helicopter!

Come on, it’s Captain America holding a chopper! Who’s in it?
