Has Marvel found a leading lady for Paul Rudd in Ant-Man?

Evangeline Lilly (Lost, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug) is in talks for the female lead according to Variety.

Michael Douglas is playing Hank Pym. Rudd is Scott Lang. The story includes a theory that Lilly would play Pym’s daughter and Lang’s love interest.

Pym did not have a daughter in the comics but an on-again, off-again wife, Janet Van Dyne aka Wasp.

Lang was a reformed criminal turned electronics expert who went back to stealing for money for his sick daughter Cassie – that’s when he takes the Pym particles and becomes the second Ant-Man in Marvel history. During this time Scott has to rescue Dr. Erica Sondheim, the only expert who could save his daughter.

No official word yet.

The Edgar Wright directed film arrives in Summer 2015.
