EMERALD CITY COMICON 2015 Preview

It is just one month until Emerald City Comicon. The pop culture event is a Hulk-sized juggernaut with the biggest roster of celebrity guests and comic book creators ever. Three Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. an Avenger, Star Wars and Star Trek legends are among the stellar cast of guests. Plus the hometown con that could keeps innovating with new ways for fans to enjoy the ultimate geek experience.

Hayley Atwell (Peggy Carter) of Captain America: The First Avenger & The Winter Soldier and Marvel’s Agent Carter is the final star to join the list. Atwell joins Clark Gregg (Phil Coulson) and Chloe Bennet (Skye/Daisy) of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Anthony Mackie (Sam Wilson/Falcon) from the Marvel Universe.

Legendary Marvel creator Stan Lee returns to ECCC along with more legends including Anthony Daniels of Star Wars, Levar Burton of Star Trek: The Next Generation and Karen Allen of Raiders of the Lost Ark.

John Barrowman of Doctor Who, Torchwood and Arrow will beam to Seattle along with more sci-fi favorites including Gina Torres of Firefly and Amanda Tapping of Stargate. Steven Yuen and Scott Wilson continue the tradition of The Walking Dead stars appearing in Seattle.

Hayley Atwell, Orlando Jones and Chloe Bennet are making their first official convention appearances at this year’s Seattle con.

The Emerald City Comicon Cinema Series continues at the acclaimed Seattle Cinerama. Stan Lee presents The Avengers, Brandon Routh (Superman Returns, Arrow) presents Scott Pilgrim vs. The World with a Q&A before the screenings.

Emerald City Comicon never forgets the commitment to comics and bringing a huge roster of classic and top current writers and artists. Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie (The Wicked & the Divine, Young Avengers, Phonogram) were the first two guests announced. The whole Batgirl relaunch team of Cameron Stewart, Brenden Fletcher and Babs Tarr will be here. Legendary Mike Grell (Green Arrow, The Warlord and Jon Sable, Freelance) was the latest creator added this week.

Burlesque at at con? For the first time, Emerald City Comicon presents Guardians of the Sexy: A Geeky Celebration In Burlesque, a live stage show mixing cosplay and burlesque for fans 21 and older at the ACT Theatre.

Con organizers are adding more elements to expand the experience with the new Cospitality Lounge (including a Cosplay Repair Station) and ECCC Beer Garden and a Food Truck Alley. There’s even a quiet room. With all these extras you can stay at the event all day.

Emerald City Comicon is March 27th -29th at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle. Passes are now shipping and stay tuned for programming announcements soon.
