Ellen Page returns as Kitty Pryde in X-Men: Days of Future Past with an important role in the story. In the comics Kitty is sent back in time to change the future ruled by mutant hunting Sentinels. In the film Kitty helps send Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) back instead.
Since X-Men: The Last Stand Page was nominated for an Oscar for Juno but she was ready to suit up again as the fan-favorite X-Man.
“I was 18 when I shot that,” Page says in Empire“I jumped at the chance. I did a lot of just sitting down with my hands on Hugh’s head. He’s a wonderful person to spend time with in a confined space!”
Fox is planning a sequel to The Wolverine following X-Men: Apocalypse. Fans assume it will be Jackman playing the role.
In our Wolverine sequel dreams we’d like to see Page and Jackman as Kitty and Logan in a sequel based on their adventure in Japan against the demon Ogun in which Kitty took on the code name Shadowcat – seen here in blue.
