Kitty Pryde is on set and ready for action!
Director Bryan Singer shared this image of Ellen Page on the set of X-Men: Days of Future Past via Twitter. Page played Kitty in X-Men: The Last Stand. Page is seen with Shawn Ashmore who reprises his role as Bobby Drake, Iceman.
If the film follows the classic comic book storyline, Page will have a significant role in the movie. In the comics, a group of future X-Men (which we assume is the cast of the original trilogy) sends one of their own back in time to help the X-Men of the past (the cast of First Class) prevent an assassination that leads to a anti-mutant campaign resulting in the mass murder and capture of mutants by giant robots called Sentinels. In the story Kitty is now Kate Rasputin, she married Colossus (Daniel Cudmore) but no word on how different the film will be from the original story.
